The top three clubs Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have confirmed the fourth round of the English League Cup. Chelsea defeated Grimsby Town 3-1 in the final. Liverpool beat Milton Keynes Dons 2-1. And after a 3-1 draw with Rochdale, Manue won the tiebreaker 3-1.
Chelsea scored on a fourth-minute goal from Ross Brackley at Stamford Bridge. Three minutes later the interval was doubled by Michi Batsuai. In the 5 minutes, however, the goal was reduced to one goal per green. However, just before the break, the Blues left the field when Pedro scored on a penalty goal.
Chelsea became more aggressive in the second half. Kurt Zuma scored in the 8th minute. Three more goals were scored in 12 to 5 minutes. Matsui completed the pair goals. James and Callum Hudson Odoi scored the other two goals.
James Milner and Yana Hoover scored for Liverpool against the Dons at Stadium MK. The Red Devils are in the tiebreaker with Rochdale, a third-row team at Old Trafford in the backyard.
